Advantages that tablets have over PCs for many people
Since the first tablet devices hit the shops they have always been promoted with the idea that they represent the missing link between a computer and a mobile phone, both more portable than the former and more powerful than the latter. Since then many people have been predicting that they would make the PC obsolete and, for many tasks, tablets do have a definite edge over a PC, although the computer is not dead and buried just yet. These are the main ways that tablets can be better than computers and what areas they are most advantageous in.
Battery Life : In general a tablet can be used for considerably longer without requiring to be charged than a laptop computer – with the difference being as much as ten hours compared with three or four. This will be particularly useful for those who are using the device for work, but it can also be beneficial if you are playing a game that requires a longer time investment. With the greater battery life, you won’t have one eye on your power level all the time.
Portability : Clearly a tablet will be much easier to carry around with you than any computer would be, which will make it preferable for many who want it mainly for gaming, but will also be useful to those who need it for work but who have to move around a lot between locations.
Touch screen : Tablets generally don’t have a traditional keyboard, but are operated instead by touch screen, with the user required to navigate their way around a programme primarily by means of pointing at, or tapping the screen. This is ideal for gaming, because it is quicker than using a keyboard, but it can also be more efficient for work which does not require much data to be typed in by the user.
